Oh What a Day!

Where to begin.....

After having such a wonderful weekend, like usual, Mondays always seem like a reality check for some reason. Is it because I want to spend every moment I can with my family or is it because I wish we had more holidays from the office?

All day long I've heard "Columbus Day Holiday" but yet here I am working or should I say trying to find motivation to work so this day will end. I hate days when I feel like this becuase I feel as though I don't earn my pay. But then I think what about those people who come to work and do what they need to do to get by, that always makes me feel a little better because I try to do more than expected.

So, looking for motivation...I found these....

Happy Easter!

As all of you know, this was Kayli's first Easter. I was able to take pictures of two of her baskets that she got. We got many more than what is pictured below but I took these the night before Easter.

The first one is from her mommy and daddy. We got her hair clips, forks/spoons so she can learn to self-feed, a new sippy cup, two little toys and a pair of sandles to wear with her Easter outfit.

This is just a close up picture of the main subjet in her basket from her Godparents. There were three outfits, an easter bunny hat and a huge catepillar -- which might I say she loves!!!

Now, Sunday morning I was so glad to be able to take some pictures of Kayli in her Easter outfit. I was even more excited to be able to take them outside. Below are just a few of them, believe me there were many more.

Kayli's Room

So, over the weekend I was updating our daughter's baby book for her 9 month milestone and realized I am missing some pictures that they are asking for. The ones that I worried the most about weren't the pictures of her mother and father but....

Her first home...

Away we go...

Now at 9 months old, our baby doll is growing right before our eyes. She's crawling so fast now and even pulling herself up to stand. Last night she stood up using the coffee table and started to walk around it. Amazing!!!

She's now found an interest in table food, so we've started to give her some here & there. Now that has made her less interested in her baby food and more and more interested in our food. So, we are adjusting her food to give her table food since that is what she wants to eat. I am still able to give her fruit, but other than that, it's table food for her meals.

So, since yesterday Kayli turned 9 months old, I, of course, took plenty of pictures. I have put a few below to share.

Just Because

So, I am still waiting to get my new camera since my other one broke. In the mean time I am using my old 5.0 megapixel camera. Which doesn't take the best pictures in the world, but at least it catches the moment.

Last night after we got home, and I was getting Kayli's things ready for today and she found our dogs treat jar. She decided that she wanted to play with it and I was just thinking and hoping that she wouldn't figure out how to open it. Luckily she didn't.

Here are some pictures of her that I was able to get.

A whole new view

So, now that our little angel is pulling herself up and standing I have come to realize a couple of things:

1. She's growing up way too fast.
2. This is a whole new view of the world.

She's gone from crawling around to standing whenever she gets the chance and I've realized that this is a new view of everything for her. Her eye level isn't just limited to maybe a foot from the floor, it's way beyond that now. She uses whatever she can to stand up, even her exersaucer toy. Instead of playing in it, she stands up against it and plays with the toys now.

She is so amazing and continues to surprise me every day with what she has learned on her own.
